Copywriting for Artists, Makers & Beautiful Weirdos

You’re a maker, a creator, an independent, a soul-sharer. You write songs. You publish. You create. You produce. You build things that don’t fit into neat little boxes. You pour your soul into your work — but when it comes to writing about yourself — your shop, your projects, your brand — you hit a wall. It feels off. You may even break out in hives. It’s salesy and weird (not the good kind).

That’s where I come in.

Whether you’re launching a zine, revamping your artist website, or finally writing that elusive bio, I’ll help you say what you really mean in a voice that sounds like you.

If you’re here, chances are:

  • You’ve got a creative pulse that doesn’t quite fit the algorithm
  • You’re doing the work — making, writing, teaching, publishing — but the “business-y” parts make you itchy
  • You want words that feel like a secret handshake with your people

Me too.

Ghost Letter Copy is rooted in voice, vision, and creative integrity. I care deeply about the people I write for — and the people they’re writing to.

If you make cool things and want help talking about them, I’ve got you.

Writing your artist bio for the third time and still hating it? Want help with your Etsy shop? Planning a launch?

I see you.

I’m Laura — the human behind Ghost Letter Copy. I write for the beautifully weird: artists, makers, authors, independents, and creative misfits. I’ve taught visual art, Earth sciences, English language, and STEM. I’ve sat on airplanes for 20+ hours at a time. I’ve hung out with wild mushrooms, musicians, stray ideas, horses, vintage cars, ancient Buddha statues, teens and preteens who already know everything, and five-year-olds who’ve never held a pencil and often wear their shoes on the wrong feet. I know what it’s like to translate wonder into words. I help artists and small-batch creators do the same.

I’m sorry to break this to you, but you won’t find me on the socials. Email, text, or fill out the Contact Form (coming soon!).

And for what it’s worth, get off that trash and delete your accounts. It’s freeing and you’ll be able to start using your brain and thinking for yourself again.

some creatives have muses.

These are mine.

The Name

A “ghost letter” is like an invisible imprint, something sent but never received. I like the idea of giving those messages a voice. Making the hidden be seen and heard.
